Corporate workshops

Bring the science of working well to your team.

The mid-afternoon fade, the short fuses, the sharp people running flat: that is physiology before it is culture. Workshops on energy, focus, stress and resilience turn the science into changes people can run from the next lunch break. On-site or remote, built for demanding jobs. Led by Dr Matt Walley, PhD.

Nutrition at work

What a workshop actually covers

Why teams bring us in

The 3pm crash is a nutrition problem before it is a motivation problem.

Energy, focus and stress tolerance are physiological before they are cultural. A standard working day of coffee, a rushed lunch and late screens pushes blood sugar, cortisol and sleep out of band, and the team feels it as fatigue, fog and short fuses. The fix is not another motivation talk. It is showing people what is actually happening in their bodies, and the specific, small changes that move it.

Energy and focus

Fewer crashes, steadier output.

Why the 3pm slump happens, what blood sugar does to attention, and the food changes that keep energy level through a working day. Practical swaps people can run from the next lunch break.

The science

Built on the same glycaemic load and inflammation modelling that runs under every Inception coaching report.

Stress and resilience

Cortisol, recovery and sleep.

How stress hormones, caffeine timing and poor sleep compound into fatigue and stress-driven fat storage, and the levers that actually move recovery for people in demanding roles.

The science

Cortisol pathways, meal timing and training load, read the way we read them for 1:1 clients.

Longevity at work

The long-game health basics.

Lean mass, visceral fat and the markers that quietly drift through a working life. What to protect in your forties and fifties so the last decades of a career, and the ones after it, stay strong.

The science

The same healthspan framework that drives the Inception Longevity Programme, delivered at team scale.

THE SAME MODEL

The eight-factor model, applied to your team.

  • Glycaemic load

Steadier glucose means steadier afternoon focus.

  • Inflammation

Lower inflammatory load, fewer heavy Mondays.

  • Cortisol pathways

Food that works with workplace stress, not against it.

  • Hormonal support

Support through the transitions your people are quietly managing.

  • Visceral fat

The health risk you cannot see at a desk, measured and tracked.

  • Trajectory modelling

Team health projected forward, not audited after the fact.

  • Lean mass preservation

Strength and capacity that hold up across a working year.

  • Gut support

Energy that does not depend on the third coffee.

How it can run

Shaped to your team, not off a shelf.

Every engagement is scoped with you first: the format, the themes and whether scanning is included. These are the shapes it usually takes.

From a six-person leadership team to a full site. On-site in Canterbury, or remote anywhere.

Team talk

A focused session on one theme: energy, stress or the long game. On-site or remote. Practical, evidence-led, built for people with demanding jobs, with time for questions.

Workshop series

The themes run as a series across weeks, so the changes people make after session one get reviewed and reinforced in session two. Habits hold better with a follow-up point.

Scan day

Body composition scanning for your team at our Christchurch facility, with individual results explained one to one. People leave knowing their own numbers, not a generic message. The format teams talk about afterwards.

Leadership and executive

For leaders who want to go past a workshop: the free metabolic audit as a starting point, then individual coaching or the Longevity Programme, run privately and confidentially.

Proof, not promises

The people in these rooms are the people we already coach.

Branch managers, general managers, brokers, IT professionals. The 1,380+ client base behind the workshops is full of people holding demanding roles. What they report first is the working week: steadier energy, better focus, fewer afternoon crashes. Anonymised, in their own words.

Business Development Manager

Jamie B.

Client-facing weeks, on the road, meetings stacked back to back. The kind of calendar where energy is the whole job.

At workEnergy that holds through the working week: training before or after work stopped competing with the job, because the fuel underneath both finally matched the load.

I have good energy for my HIIT class today.

General Manager Systems

Patrick D.

Senior operator running systems and people, where a foggy afternoon shows up in everyone else's week too.

At workFeeling great in a demanding role: steadier days, a clearer head, and a simple marker he trusts, how he actually feels at work, moving the right way.

I always feel that a great marker is how you are feeling, and I am feeling great which is really positive.

General Manager Assets and Facilities

Caleb U.

Responsible for sites, assets and the people on them. Long days, plenty of driving, food grabbed between them.

At workAlertness back and recovery easier: sharper through the afternoon, less bloated at the desk, and enough left after work for an easy 13 km run.

Feeling better, more alert and less bloated. I went an easy 13km run last night and felt pretty good, not so much of a struggle.

What your team leaves with

Changes people can run the same week.

  • A plain-English read on what blood sugar, cortisol and sleep are doing to their working day
  • Specific food and timing swaps for steadier energy, mapped to a normal NZ working week
  • The two or three levers that matter most for stress recovery and sleep quality
  • An honest frame on the long game: what to protect now so later decades stay strong
  • A private next step for anyone who wants their own numbers: the free metabolic audit
The boundary, plainly

Education for the room. Privacy for the person.

Workshops are educational, not medical advice. We do not diagnose, treat or cure medical conditions. If your people scan or take up coaching, their results are theirs alone: nothing individual is reported back to the employer. Anything clinical stays with each person’s own GP.

For the individual leader

When one person wants the full programme.

For executives and founders who want more than a workshop, the Longevity Programme runs the full instrument set privately: monthly scans, bloodwork and hormone interpretation, wearable analysis, and a direct line to Dr Walley across twelve months.

Common questions

Each session takes one theme, energy and focus, stress and resilience, or long-term health, and turns the science into changes people can make the same week. No fads, no supplements pitch, no generic wellness slides. The content comes from the same evidence base that runs under Inception's 1:1 coaching.See the methodology behind it

Yes. Talks and workshop series run remotely for teams anywhere. Scan days run at our Christchurch facility at 65 Blenheim Road, Addington, where the body composition scanning is set up.

Pricing depends on format, team size and whether scanning is included, so we scope it with you first. Email info@inceptionnutrition.co.nz or use the contact form and we will come back with options.

No. Workshops are educational. Inception provides nutrition consulting and body composition coaching. We do not diagnose, treat or cure medical conditions, and anything individual runs alongside a person's own GP. Individual results from any scan are private to the person scanned, never reported to the employer.

Anyone who wants to go further can take the free metabolic audit, a five-minute individual baseline, and from there the coaching programmes or the Longevity Programme. That path is each person's own choice and stays between them and us.

Give your team an hour that changes their working week.
